Annual Fund

Each year Sertoma raises funds annually to support scholarships and grants. Two scholarship programs, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Communicative Disorders, award 45, $1,000 scholarships annually. In addition, Sertoma awards approximately 100,000 in grants to their National Affiliates that belong to the Adopt-an-Agency program. Other programs supported by the Annual Fund include SAFEEars!, A Sound Investment, the creation and production of new hearing health efforts, Serteen, Collegiate and National Heritage.

During the last ten years, the Annual Fund has provided over 800 scholarships for graduates studying to become an audiologist or speech pathologist. Over 800 scholarships have also been given to undergraduate bi-lateral hard of hearing students.  Over $1,000,000 has been given in grants. More than 300,000 individuals have been given information about how to protect their hearing from Noise Induced Hearing Loss over the last five years since the introduction of our awareness program, SAFEEars!

Through support of Sertoma’s Annual Fund, we make life worthwhile for others. Sertoma cares for those who would go without the ability to hear the world around them. Without support to Sertoma’s Annual Fund, living what we consider a “normal” life would not be attainable.

The Annual Fund also supports Sertoma’s 14,000 members in their efforts to touch their communities through 400,000 plus hours of service and $4,500,000 raised to help communities across the United States. The Annual Fund supports volunteer training so our volunteers can affect their communities in a positive way.

Proceeds raised this year will be set aside to be given away next fiscal year. Anyone can give to the Annual Fund. Sertoma hopes that every club member will support the Annual Fund.

Sertoma recognizes the importance of your gift and thanks you for your participation in the Annual Fund. With a gift of $100, a special donor pin is given. You can make your gift in Honor or Memory of someone. In addition, if your company has a matching gift program, please send in the form with your gift. Gifts can be cash, credit card or EFT. Make a Gift You can make a pledge and can be sent reminders on a monthly or quarterly basis.

Corporations can make gifts to the Annual Fund. These gifts will be used to help underwrite bigger portions of programs. We look forward to support from other partners in the future. Corporate donors should contact headquarters and speak with the Development office for details. Contact Us.
