Governance Structure: As the parent organization, Sertoma helps clubs increase the effectiveness of their community service activities. The parent offers clubs structured programs, but with the autonomy, as well as the support, to "do their own thing."
Sertoma operates through a well-integrated Division structure. Sertoma clubs in the United States and Canada are organized into Districts, supported by District Governors who are elected by the clubs of each District.
Districts are assigned to a Region. The clubs of a Region elect one Director from their Region to serve on the Board of Directors. Sertoma in Mexico is organized as Sertoma Nacional, with its own governing structure, and has an ex-officio seat on the International Board.
Board of Directors: The Board of Directors of Sertoma is composed of the Executive Committee and 10 Directors. The Executive Director is a non-voting member of the Board of Directors and serves as the Secretary of the Board.
