Applications for the 2023 Sertoma Club Grant Program are open!
Now in its third year, the program is designed to help further clubs’ efforts to support community charitable programs and organizations. Grants range from $500 to $2,000.
To apply for a grant, clubs must:
- Be fully In Good Standing as of the application date.
- Select a beneficiary organization/program with a valid and active 501(c)(3) or equivalent federal tax status.
- Complete the online-only application in full by November 1.
The grant may be applied toward any qualifying charitable purpose program of the community organization or club program. Projects not allowed shall include, but are not limited to, general operating expenses, capital improvements, endowment funds, fees/dues, previously completed or funded projects (including any reimbursements), fundraising, salaries or employment expenses, scholarships, etc. No Sertoma member may derive a benefit from these funds. If you are unsure if a program would qualify, please email Amy Ellington at aellington@sertoma.org prior to application.
Some 2022 Club Grant recipient uses include:
- Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club used their grant to help the Ronald McDonald Tooth Truck obtain a new mobile dental unit.
- Sertoma Promotion Club’s grant went to benefit a Sertoma Affiliate, International Hearing Dog, an organization which aims to empower and support individuals who are hearing impaired or deaf by providing them with highly trained assistance dogs.
- Carson Valley Sertoma Club donated their grant to WAVE, a nonprofit which assists veterans with essential housing, transportation, medical, employment and other services.
All applications will be judged by an appointed committee during the month of November. Grant recipients will be announced via Sertoma HQ communication channels in December.
