Sertoma Club Natural Disaster Fund

Sertoma Club Natural Disaster Fund

**Grants are only available to active Sertoma clubs for their own fundraisers.**

In the wake of the hurricane disasters that occurred in fall 2024, we established the Sertoma Club Natural Disaster Fund. This program provides grants of up to $2,500 to clubs who have been forced to cancel fundraising events/activities directly because of a natural disaster.

The initiative was originally brought forth by Southeastern Regional Director Steve Thrash and Atlantic Coast Regional Director Robert M. White and approved by the International Board. The fund was seeded with $25,000 from the organization's charitable reserves. Donations from clubs and individuals wishing to support fellow clubs during times of crisis will be received and managed by Sertoma Headquarters moving forward.

To apply for a grant, clubs should first contact their regional director. Regional Directors will then notify Sertoma staff, and an application will be sent to the appropriate club contact. Grant applications will be reviewed by staff and the regional director and awarded on a rolling basis. Please note, all grant applications must be completed using the official online form.

While we certainly hope that the need for the fund will be minimal, we are also glad to have a solution that may provide a bit of solace in times of crisis. If you have questions about the program, please reach out do your regional director or staff contact Amy Ellington at aellington@sertoma.org. If you do not know your regional director or need their contact information, you can contact HQ at (816) 333-8300 or infosertoma@sertoma.org.
