Supporting Our Students and Communities

The Annual Fund supports Sertoma’s hearing health mission and heritage.  Each year, Sertoma Clubs and individual members raise funds from coast to coast to continue our mission of improving the quality of life today for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.

For those of you wondering, “who” is affected by the Annual Fund, and “how” this money makes a difference, we’d like to show you. You generosity creates remarkable stories and opportunities for our grant and scholarship recipients.

Community Grant Spotlight

  • Children’s Mercy Hospital received Sertoma’s community grant in 2016. Since then, they have created a loaner hearing aid program to assist children who are waiting on cochlear implants, hearing aid repairs or their insurance companies. According to Katie Kincaid, a pediatric audiologist at the hospital, they have purchased a total of 13 hearing aids, which have been loaned to 23 children over the last year!
