Sertoma Club Grants are all about making an impact in the community.
While the program does not require beneficiary organizations to focus solely on hearing health, many clubs choose to support nonprofits and initiatives that assist people living with hearing loss. As an organization that has championed hearing health as a national mission since 1963, we are especially excited when a club uses a grant to support a local program addressing speech and hearing needs in its community.
For example, the Sertoma Club of Nashville utilized its 2025 Club Grant to help HEAR Nashville purchase and fit hearing aids for more than three low-income adults, providing them with access to new, digital hearing technology. The club helped found HEAR Nashville in 2010.
HEAR Nashville Executive Director Beth Harmon shared that the organization’s work continued to grow throughout the last fiscal year (July 2025–June 2026). Harmon, who is also a member of the club, noted that during that period, the organization fit 58% more people with hearing aids than it did the previous year, demonstrating significant growth in its ability to connect low-income adults with essential hearing care and technology.
HEAR Nashville has also expanded its network of preferred partners by adding two additional audiologists, allowing the organization to reach more individuals across Tennessee. Together, the increased number of people served, access to new digital hearing aids, and expanded network of audiology partners demonstrate the meaningful impact of the grant and HEAR Nashville’s continued commitment to improving access to hearing health services.
The Sertoma Club of Nashville has served Middle Tennessee since 1946. The club’s work primarily focuses on supporting hearing health and communicative diseases through its partnership with HEAR Nashville and robust community grant program. To learn more, visit NashvilleSertoma.org.
