55 Years and Counting: North Augusta Sertoma Club Celebrates

The North Augusta Sertoma Club is celebrating a remarkable milestone: 55 years of dedicated service to its South Carolina community. For more than half a century, the club has remained deeply committed to Sertoma’s mission of “Service to Mankind,” with a strong focus on supporting individuals with hearing health needs and advancing related community service initiatives. This anniversary is not only a celebration of longevity, but also a reflection of decades of volunteerism, compassion and meaningful local impact.

A key part of that work has been the club’s long-standing partnership with the Piedmont Augusta Speech and Hearing Center. Over the years, this collaboration has helped expand access to essential hearing care services for individuals in need throughout their shared community. Most recently, the Sertoma Club of North Augusta presented a $4,000 donation to the Center, which will be used to purchase hearing devices for underprivileged residents. This contribution was made possible through the club’s fundraising efforts as well as a grant from Sertoma’s Club Grant Program, further demonstrating how local service combined with organizational support can directly improve lives.

Throughout its history, the North Augusta Sertoma Club has built a strong reputation for consistent service and advocacy. Members have worked tirelessly to support programs and projects that improve hearing health awareness and provide resources for those in need. The anniversary offers an opportunity to recognize the many individuals who have contributed their time and energy to sustaining this mission and ensuring its continued relevance in the community.

Looking ahead, the club is also preparing for an exciting new chapter with its new clubhouse. More than just a physical structure, the new space represents renewed energy, stability and hopefully even long-term growth for the club. It provides a permanent home that strives to strengthen operations, enhance meetings and support future fundraising efforts. Perhaps most importantly, the clubhouse stands as a visible symbol of the club’s ongoing commitment to North Augusta, reflecting its deep roots in the community and its dedication to continued service for decades to come.
