At Sertoma, we know that meaningful change often starts at home. Our clubs have long been part of the fabric of their communities through service and stewardship. The Sertoma Club Grant Program gives clubs another opportunity to turn that commitment into even greater impact. 

The Club Grant Program provides $500–$2,000 grants to help Sertoma clubs support charitable programs and organizations in their local areas. Whether you’re looking to strengthen an existing partnership, address a community need or expand the reach of an existing service project, a Club Grant can give your club another way to turn its resources into meaningful results. Applications open September 1.

Recent grants have helped support programs ranging from pediatric sensory rooms to services for children and families affected by hearing loss, showing how a relatively small investment can create a meaningful local impact. Projects that advance hearing health can earn bonus points during the application review process, giving clubs an additional opportunity to support Sertoma’s national mission while making a difference close to home.

Partnerships That Multiply Impact

Sertoma clubs have always understood the power of community. You see a need, build relationships and find a way to help.

Consider the Club Grant Program as another tool in your toolbox. It’s more than a check; a grant can help turn a club's generosity into an even greater impact. It gives clubs the unique opportunity to strengthen the relationship between a Sertoma club and another organization or even the community itself.

Consider the Kingsport Sertoma Club, which used its 2025 Club Grant to support the Mountain Region Speech and Haring Center. The club was able to help fund much-needed technology upgrades for hearing aid programming and audiological equipment calibration, helping expand support for individuals and families living with hearing loss.

In another example, the Five Flags Sertoma Club selected its own holiday food program for the club’s 2025 grant. The funding helped give 40 Pensacola families a complete Christmas dinner last December, ensuring that these underserved families would be able to celebrate a joyful season without going hungry.

Applying for a Grant

Clubs in good standing may submit one application per fiscal year. Applications must be completed online by the Sertoma Club (not the beneficiary) by the November 1 deadline. The beneficiary organization or program must have an active 501(c)(3) or equivalent federal tax status. If your club received a club grant in 2025, it must also file its summary report no later than October 10 to be eligible to apply for 2026.

Please note, grants cannot be used for general operating expenses, capital improvements, fundraising, salaries, scholarships, previously completed projects or reimbursements, among other ineligible expenses. When applying for a grant, we want to encourage clubs to especially focus on how the grant will be used by the beneficiary and how that supports our overarching mission of Service to Mankind. Try not to focus on the past timeline of the program or the club’s history with the organization. We want to understand why you chose this recipient and how it supports your club’s mission and goals.
